Meet Our Contributors

Anthony Hudson

Anthony Hudson is a journalist and multimedia storyteller based in Northwest Indiana. He earned a bachelor’s degree in Communications with minors in Business and Fine Arts from Indiana University Northwest. Anthony is a general assignment reporter for the LaPorte County Herald-Dispatch and has previously interned with The Times of Northwest Indiana and worked as a sports writer for Off the Cover News. He is also the host of the “It’s My Turn” podcast and co-host of “The Final Buzzer” on 88.7 WGVE. Outside of journalism, Anthony serves as secretary of the 25 Black Men of Michigan City and is a member of the Urban League of Northwest Indiana Young Professionals.

Kayla Stewart is a 21-year-old student at Indiana University Northwest. She’s also the founder and owner of KinFNews, a platform dedicated to creating Black safe spaces, amplifying Black voices, and keeping the Black dollar within Black businesses. A graphic designer by trade and a Google-certified UX designer, Kayla blends creativity with community impact, building digital and physical environments where Black people can see themselves, support each other, and thrive. Not only is she passionate about creating black safe spaces, but she is also passionate about sharing their stories.
